“Cultural Dialogue, Peace and Development on the Silk Road”

The International Conference on “Cultural Dialogue, Peace and Development on the Silk Road,” is organized by the “Iranian Research Center for the Silk Road (IRCSR)” of Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran. The conference will be held online on the 10th November 2020 within the framework of the UNESCO Silk Roads Programme in close cooperation with the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) in Samarkand, Uzbekistan and Eco Cultural Institute.

The conference takes place on the “World Science Day for Peace and Development” and is expected to bring together the scientists and researchers to discuss and disseminate ideas on the role of Silk Roads with special emphasis on the cultural dialogue, diversity, and peace building.

The abstracts can be submitted to the Secretariat of the conference (silkroad@sbu.ac.ir) by the 21st of October 2020.

The Iranian Research Center on the Silk Roads was established under the Shahid Behesti University as a research institution with focus on the Silk Roads. The Center comprises the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies on the Silk Roads and the Department of Common Heritages of the Silk Roads and aims to explore the cultural and historic relations in Central Asia and countries along the Silk Road.
