The International
Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) presents
the website http://restitution-kg.unesco-iicas.org/
(available only in Russian) of the
project "Archaeological Heritage of Kyrgyzstan in Museums and Scientific
Institutions in Moscow and St. Petersburg," implemented under the grant
from IICAS. The project was initiated by the Center for Cultural Heritage and
the Institute of History and Cultural Heritage of the National Academy of
Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (Institute of History, Archaeology, and
Ethnology) in 2018. The project's goal is to document, including the creation
of 3D models, archaeological artifacts discovered in the territory of
Kyrgyzstan and permanently housed in museums and scientific institutions in
Moscow and St. Petersburg.
