Conference was jointly organized with International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS), Institute of History – Academy of Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan, French Institute for Central Asian Studies (IFEAC), Korean Institute for Culture and Development of Asia (IACD) and State Museum of Temurids.
In the opening of the conference which was held in the State Museum of Temurids, where welcome address was performed by the vice-president of Academy of Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan, academic S. S. Gulyamov, director of Institute of History, Academy of Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan, professor D.A. Alimova, director of IICAS, doctor Sh. M. Mustafayev, deputy director of French Institute, doctor Dr. Bendezu-Sarmiento, representative of IACD in Central Asia doctor Kim Pyong Ily, director of the State Museum of a History of Temurids, doctor N. Habibullayev.
The researchers from Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan), Azerbaijan, Turkey, France, Germany, United States, Southern Korea had taken part in the work of the conference.
Conference program was planned for 31 reports, of which was made 27, others were submitted in the written form.
The work of the conference included 8 thematic panels:
1. External and internal migration processes
2. Change in social life of the structure of society
3. The form of management and national elites in Central Asia
4. Reflection of social life of the population in the written sources
5. Cultural transformations
6. Life of ethnic groups
7. Social portrait of the woman
8. Traditions and innovations in systems of the life-support (medicine and food)
The conference passed on a very high level, that is quite clear, proceeding from a quota of the participants in the conference, their qualifying level and professional experience. Participants expressed a wish, that organization of such conference should become a regular event in the future.
