Publication is dedicated to the processes of formation and development of letter and phonetic (alphabetic) written systems and written culture of the ancient Central Asia. It addresses to the key problems of the graphic development of Sogdian, Khorezmian, ancient Turkic, Uighur-Turk, Mongol and other written languages, as well as questions of the letter-making processes on the routes of the Great Silk Road.
