The International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) is pleased to announce that a series of lectures in the framework of “Cultural landscape study and heritage conservation in Asia” study course for the years 2021-2022 is launched at the Practical School of Higher Studies (EPHE). The course will focus on the different types of sites and their multidimensional and multidisciplinary interpretation.

The first lecture by Prof. Roland Lin Chih-Hung named “Asian Cultural Landscape and Heritage Conservation Study” focusing Silk Roads Cultural Landscape & Heritage Safeguarding will be held on the 15 October 2021 10:00 am – 12:00 pm in the Egyptology Hall (Salle d'Egyptologie) of the University of Sorbonne, Paris.  The talk will be of professional interest to heritage experts and practitioners, historians, archaeologists, conservation architects, and urban planners. Chang’an-Tianshan (China, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan) and Zarafshan-Karakum (Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) corridors of the Silk Road will be in the focus.

The following lectures will take place every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, offline. The last lecture of the series will take place on Friday, 04 February 2022.
