Workshop

On March 30, 2021, a regular workshop was held by the University College London for the members of the Central Asian Archaeological Landscapes @uclcaal project team.

The meeting was attended by over 50 people from the participating countries. The event was opened by Professor Tim Williams, project lead, and the Director of IICAS, Dr. Dmitriy Voyakin. They noted that despite the restrictions associated with the quarantine, the members of this large team made every effort to continue working, which has made it possible to make significant progress.

The UCL experts presented the functions of a database and an interactive online map. Additionally, the outcomes of the comparative analysis of the maps from various sources was presented to track changes of the wider landscape, climate, the state of conservation of monuments (https://uclcaal.org/resources/)
