New elements in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The 15th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which was held online from 14 to 19 December 2020, inscribed 29 new elements to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity under the UNESCO Convention on Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Among them seven new elements from IICAS’s Member States: Yeondeunghoe, lantern lighting festival (Republic of Korea), Nar Bayrami, traditional pomegranate festivity and culture (Azerbaijan), Art of miniature (Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Uzbekistan), Taijiquan (China), Ong Chun/Wangchuan/Wangkang ceremony, rituals and related practices for maintaining the sustainable connection between man and the ocean (China, Malaysia), Pilgrimage to the St. Thaddeus Apostle Monastery (Iran, Armenia), Traditional intelligence and strategy game: Togyzqumalaq, Toguz Korgool, Mangala/Göçürme (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey).
