On December 22, 2022, the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) held an online conference with the participation of His Excellency Mr. Sunaryo Kartadinata, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ms. Rofita Jamafar, Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Republic of Uzbekistan; representatives of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and staff members of the Research Organization for Archaeology, Language, and Letters. The meeting was attended by Dr. Herry Jogaswara, Head of the Research Organization for Archaeology, Language, and Letters, and moderated by Ms. Ade Mulyanah, Head of the Research Center for Language, Literature, and Community.

The conference started with welcoming speeches by H.E. Mr. Sunaryo Kartadinata, Ms. Ade Mulyanah, and Dr. Herry Jogaswara. During his presentation, Dr. Herry Jogaswara offered an overview of the activities, goals and objectives of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Dr. Dmitry Voyakin, the Director of IICAS, made a presentation on the Institute's activities, functions, and achievements.

The meeting was concluded with an active discussion of issues of cooperation in the field of scientific research and the implementation of practical steps toward establishing close cooperation in the short term.
