The result of cooperation between UNESCO and the Republic of Uzbekistan will be summarized at the international cultural forum "Central Asia at the Crossroads of Civilizations".

Dear colleagues!
The cultural heritage of Central Asia is inextricably linked with the existence of the Great Silk Road. Recognizing the unique value of this phenomenon, UNESCO strongly contributes to the study and preservation of this heritage. The Silk Road program initiated by UNESCO is one of the largest and most significant for the region, since the Organization scientifically, technically and economically helps the governments through which this caravan network passed.
The result of cooperation between UNESCO and the Republic of Uzbekistan will be summarized at the international cultural forum "Central Asia at the Crossroads of Civilizations", which will be held in Khiva (Uzbekistan). The proposal to hold this event was made by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his speech at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly. The place chosen for the forum is very symbolic – Khiva is recognized as an object of cultural heritage, the age of which is more than 2500 years old and which has been a center of education since ancient times.
