On February 11, 2021, Zoom meeting attendee by the staff members of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS), Ulvia Ablaeva (Candidate of Historical Sciences, Senior Researcher at the Lviv Museum of the History of Religions) and Tatiana Krupa (Pavlodar Pedagogical University) was held.
A monograph on the complex of Crimean Tatar hats and head adornments by Ulvie Ablaeva is being prepared for publication. The study covers the period from the 17th to the beginning of the 21st century, and its not limited only the Crimean peninsula and the Northern Black Sea region, but covers also Romania, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. The monograph is an interdisciplinary historical and art study with extensive and vivid illustrative material.
The monograph presents the evolution of the headdresses of the Crimean Tatars on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of written, visual, material sources and author's field materials.
For the first time a special ethnological study of this topic was carried out and, based on its result, this scientific work was prepared.
