The MoU has become the first step aimed to generate new ideas and collaboration opportunities in the field of science.

The Parties agreed that the prospective cooperation will focus on cultural, social, historic, archaeological, geographic literature and linguistic studies as well as on the Silk Road studies with emphasis on the Central Asia and the Member States of IICAS.

The scope of cooperation under the MoU includes mutual visits, cooperation in the framework of research projects, arrangement of joint academic seminars, conferences, workshops and similar events. Besides, both institutions agreed to share academic data and publications, as well as cooperate in other areas of mutual interest. Prospective joint research projects carried out on a collaborative basis are expected to ensure dissemination of the state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of science and culture.

The signing of the MOU became possible largely thanks to active involvement and massive effort applied by the Branch Office of IICAS in Kazakhstan and its Director Mr. Nurbol Baimukhan.

Laboratory of Mass Spectrometry (Vilnius Radiocarbon) is a part of the largest research organization in Lithuania – Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC).
