Partnership in the Study of the Common Cultural Heritage of Central Asia

In order to expand sustainable partnerships in the study of the common cultural heritage of Central Asia, the International Institute of Central Asian Studies (IICAS) concluded  a Cooperation Agreement with the International Institute of Central Asia (IICA, http://iica.uz/en). The agreement was signed on 17thFebruary 2024 by Mr. Evren Rutbil (Director of the IICAS) and Mr. Javlon Vakhabov (Director of IICA)IICA, established in Tashkent in 2020 by initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, is a state research institution engaged in interdisciplinary research into civilizational diversity and modern processes of regional cooperation in Central Asia. IICA's areas of activity include, among others, research into the historical and cultural heritage of Central Asia. Both parties have identified the following areas of cooperation: (1) conducting multidisciplinary research in the field of common cultural heritage, history, archaeology, architecture, ethnography, literature, and writings of the Silk Road with a focus on Central Asian countries; (2) organization and participation in joint events (conferences, symposiums, round tables, seminars and training courses); (3) exchange of academic, technical, and other information and publications, publishing joint scientific articles.
