Signing of the memorandum between IICAS and the National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia

On 13 October 2023, an official meeting with H.
E. Mr. Sunaryo Kartadinata, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia accredited
to the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent and Ms. Rofita Djamawar, Minister
Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia was held in the
headquarters of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS).
The meeting was aimed at concluding a
Memorandum of Understanding on Academic and Research Cooperation between IICAS
and the National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia,
which was prepared and signed with the kind support of H. E. Mr. Kartadinata.
During the discussion, the parties exchanged
views on the prospects for establishing institutional cooperation in the field
of preservation and promotion of historical and cultural heritage. Separately,
the opportunities for exchanging experiences and working together to nominate
sites for the UNESCO World Heritage List were noted.
