Visit of the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On June 9,
2023, the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of
Samarkand, Mr. Bauyrzhan Bakbergenovich Dosmanbetov, visited the headquarters of
the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS).
The
meetings aimed at discussing the implementation of international projects
related to the preparation of serial transnational nomination dossiers.
Special
attention was paid to the initiatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the
field of cultural heritage management. In particular, Dr. Dmitriy Voyakin,
Director of IICAS, reported on the implementation of the project “Diplomacy and
Cultural Heritage Management. Program for capacity building in the field of
historical and cultural heritage - 2023”, implemented with the support of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Mr.
Dosmanbetov stressed the extreme importance of international cooperation in the
field of protection, use, and promotion of historical and cultural heritage.
During the
conversation, the possibilities of expanding the participation of scientists,
students, and teachers of Kazakhstani universities in projects run by IICAS
were discussed.
